“It’s not that I didn’t speak. It’s that no one listened when I did.”
— Survivor, Family Court 2020
The Survivor’s Talking Points® Strategybook™ Series was created for women navigating the frustration of being unheard in systems that don’t always recognize the reality of intimate partner violence, coercive control, post-separation abuse, or invisible harm.

“Created by a survivor—for the moments when being heard could change everything.”

These books were born from pages of a single notebook I once carried with me everywhere.
My name is Kaitlyn. Like many of the women who find their way here, I’ve stood in courtrooms, police stations, the District Attorney's office and even during an interview with CPS, where I worried my words didn’t seem to land. I’ve tried to explain what was happening—what had happened—only to be asked "if it was really that bad..." or have it implied I must be confused, exaggerating, emotional, or worse: told I was being "combative."
It was in that space of frustration and disbelief that I began writing things down. Not to fight harder—but to speak clearer. Not to convince anyone of my pain—but to create a record that could not be ignored.
The Survivor’s Talking Points® grew from that simple act. It was never meant to be a movement or a replacement for legal advocacy. It was simply a way to give women like me—and like you—a framework to organize your thoughts when the pressure to explain everything feels impossible.

"Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim."
